Moochi presents Palette Five for 2025 Journey, a collection that honours the past and embraces the future. Celebrating 25 years since their beginnings as Clothing Journey Ltd, Journey marks a milestone moment while looking ahead to new heights. From a small workroom in Mount Maunganui, to becoming one of New Zealand’s most loved fashion brands, Moochi’s story is one of creativity, resilience, and connection, shaped by and created for the women who wear Moochi.
Built on the values of timeless dressing, Palette Five champions quality, longevity, and expression. Refined silhouettes and tactile finishes define the mood, clean lines, soft structure, and fabrics chosen for feel and form in sand-washed lyocell blend, linen and cupro.
A harmonious palette opens with dusty blue and pale camel, illuminated by pearl and bone, before deepening into tan, brass, and bold red against blossom pink, mint sage, evergreen, and indigo complete the tonal story, both familiar and forward thinking.
The design language explores dualities, feminine yet functional, fluid yet defined, oversized bows in mid-weight linen lend contemporary femininity, bonded utility fabrications bring sport-inspired strength, sculptural cocoon shapes, origami pleats, and laddered stitch details give form and movement to every piece.
Stripes, scarf inspired prints, and mini dots return in new variations, while knitwear evolves through crochet ladder stitch and sheer layering. Volume and drape interplay with proportion, creating silhouettes that flatter and empower.
Relaxed silhouettes from Moochi Six and Seven include soft cowl detailing, off shoulder and boxy shapes. Gathered layering, tie casing, and cinching accents create adjustable proportions, while contrast tape and d-ring details lend modern utility.
Pinstripe denim, check plaid, and subtle stripe variations bring unique interest to everyday dressing. Elevated leisurewear and off-duty staples are reinterpreted with sculptural intent, highlighting design details that balance comfort, function, and contemporary style.
Palette Five is a continuation of the Moochi story, a nod to where they began, and an evolution of the design values that define them. This is their journey, 25 years in the making, and only just beginning.
